- Mary Wehrle Himmelfarb, 85, of Sykesville, formerly of Washington, D.C., died April 28, 2007, at Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital, Baltimore.
Born July 25, 1921, in Rush County, Ind., she was the daughter of the late William and Myrta Hall West.
She was married twice; first to Joseph Wehrle, who died in 1954; then to Morton Himmelfarb, who died in 1997.
Prior to retiring, she worked as an office manager and a real estate investor in Washington, D.C.
Surviving her are son and daughter-in-law Joseph R. and Julie Wehrle of Sykesville; three granddaughters; and two great-granddaughters.Ê
She was preceded in death by sisters Thelma Brock, Maxine Sparks, Vera West and Janett West; and by brother Robert West.
A graveside service was held May 1 at National Memorial Park, 7400 Lee Highway, Falls Church, Va.
Arrangements were by Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, Sykesville.
