- Edward A. Herson of Frederick, Colorado, 59, passed away in his home on March 27th, 2009. He was born on April 3, 1949 to father Bill Herson, who preceded him in death, and mother Phyllis Kreizman of Bethesda, Maryland. Ed moved to Colorado after leaving the Army in 1971. He opened and operated Altimate High Skydiving from 1975 to 1993, where he met his wife Carol Betzer. They were married in 1984. Most recently, Ed owned and operated EDCOM Satellite Sales and Installation Company. When he was not busy with his business, he enjoyed photography, candle making, painting, and riding his bicycles. He is survived by his wife Carol Herson; children Holly, Elijah, Morgan, Zoe; his younger brother Ron Herson; mother Phyllis Kreizman; five nephews and three nieces. Ed was (and still is) dearly loved, will be fondly remembered, and terribly missed. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2009, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Howe Mortuary. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at Howe Mortuary Chapel, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Children of Edward Herson Scholarship Fund in care of Howe Mortuary.
