- Irving Goldstein, of Pikesville, MD, passed away on Monday, December 30th, 2024, at the age of 89. He is survived by his wife, Hedy Goldstein (nee Hirsch); children, Clayton (Cindy) Goldstein, Rachel (Adam) Horwitz, and Nissa (Paul) Weinberg; grandchildren, Daren Horwitz, Aiden Horwitz, and Adley, Rece, and Laila Weinberg; and nephews, Steven (Nancy) Goldstein and Howard (Jean) Goldstein. He was predeceased by his parents, Rae and Hyman Goldstein and his brother, David Goldstein.
Irv was a Systems Analyst for the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA), bringing broad expertise and precision to the field of healthcare. He also worked as an accountant for over 20 years at Donald and Apple Associates, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike. Beyond work, Irv was a pillar of the Baltimore Table Tennis Club, serving as a member and leader for over 50 years, including a tenure as president. An avid fan of Baltimore sports, he found joy in supporting local teams and fostering a sense of camaraderie among fellow fans. Irv will be remembered for his dedication, leadership, and love for his community.
Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208, on Thursday, January 2nd, 2025, at 12:00 pm. Interment Garrison Forest Cemetery of Chizuk Amuno Congregation. Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be sent to Krieger Schechter Day School. The family will be in mourning at 6717 Evanston Road, Baltimore, Maryland 21209, Thursday immediately following interment with a service at 7pm, Friday from 1 to 4pm with a service at 3pm, and Sunday from 1 to 4pm, and 6 to 8pm with a service at 7pm.
