Flo, was born in Thomasville, Ga., November 28, 1917. She was the daughter of the late Dora Needle Feinberg and Harry Feinberg of Thomasville. She graduated from Goucher College in Baltimore and married Dr. Maxwell D. Berman. During the early years of their marriage they lived in army posts in the western US where Dr. Berman was a Captain in the US Army. Then they settled in Jackson and had many wonderful years together until Dr. Berman's death in 1975.
She had two children, Dr. Walter Berman who lived in Dallas and died in 1999, and Susan Donn who currently lives in Norfolk, Va.
She is survived by Susan and her husband, Allan Donn; her grandchildren, Dorian Berman-Latreille of Montreal, Canada; Matthew Berman, Ben Berman, Josh Berman, and Rachel Berman of Dallas; and Adam Donn of Norfolk, Va.
She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Wolf and Chloe Berman of Dallas, Texas; and Alexandre and Jacob Berman-Latreille of Montreal, Canada.
Flo was an active member of Beth Israel Synagogue as well as past President of the Sisterhood. She loved her canasta games and the ballet and symphony. Flo adored her daughter-in-law, Imogene Berman, who was a wonderful wife to Walter and the best mother imaginable to her grandchildren in Dallas. She was so appreciative of her family especially Jo Ann Burwell and Bobby and Sondy Berman and their children who were so attentative; faithful friends particularly Syril Portnoy and Mary Louise Shaw who visited regularly and encouraged her during her illness; and her sitters, Johnnie Morris, Salina Burnside, Naomi Wright and Nicki Moore who were so kind, faithful, and understanding.
