- Melvin Fink, of Lantana, Florida, passed away on Sunday, April 20th, 2025, at the age of 96. He is survived by his caring sister, Marion Rubin; beloved nephews, Barry Rubin (Deborah Guth), Howard Rubin and Maury Rubin; cherished great nieces, Alyson Rubin, Pamela Rubin, Mallory Rubin, Lisa Rubin; caring son of his partner, Stuart Koman; Stuart's son, Jason Koman; and Geoffrey Koman's daughter, Ashley. He was predeceased by his devoted partner, Toby Koman; Toby's caring sons, Geoffrey Koman and Bruce Koman; his dear parents, Zion and Abraham Fink; and Stuart's daughter, Kyra.
Mel was a proud Jewish American, a Navy veteran, and a true Baltimorean who was deeply devoted to his family and friends. He took great pride in his career at the Veterans Administration, where he served with dedication. A lifelong enthusiast of travel, Mel also loved getting lost in a good history book or mystery novel. He had a keen interest in sports and politics, and held a deep affection for all things Baltimore.
Services at Shaarei Tfiloh Congregation Cemetery 5770 Windsor Mill Road Baltimore, Maryland 21207, on Thursday, April 24th, 2025, at 1:30 pm. Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be sent to the Jewish Charity of your choice, or the American Parkinson Disease Association, P.O. Box 61420, Staten Island, NY 10306. The family will be in mourning at 11 Slade Ave., #507, Pikesville, Maryland 21208 following interment until 7:00 pm with a service at 7:00 pm. Continuing Friday from 12:00-4:00 PM.
