- Jerome H. Gerber, 65, of Susquehanna Twp. died Sunday in Polyclinic Medical Center.
He was a principal in Handler, Gerber, Johnston & Aronson law firm; a former counsel to the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO, the Pennsylvania Building and Construction Trades Council and the Northeast Department of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union; and counsel to several other labor organizations throughout the eastern United States.
He was a member of Kesher Israel Congregation and its Brotherhood, Jewish Community Center, member of B'nai B'rith, United Jewish Federation, and the American, Pennsylvania and Dauphin County Bar associations; chairman of the Israel Bonds Campaign of Harrisburg; a life member of the Guild of the Jewish Home of Greater Harrisburg; and an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, Helene N. Gerber; two sons, Jonathon of Mechanicsburg and Eric of Baltimore; a sister, Miriam Cohen of Harrisburg; and a grandson.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Kesher Israel Cemetery Chapel, Susquehanna Twp. Burial will be in Kesher Israel Cemetery.
Shiva will be observed at 1101 Eric Drive, Susquehanna Twp.
