- EVAN ROSE HIMELFARB (Age 50)On Thursday, September 6, 2007, EVAN ROSE HIMELFARB of Great Falls, VA. After a long and courageous battle with cancer; beloved wife of Dan; devoted mother of Aaron and Jesse; loving daughter of Lil and the late Arthur Schacht; sister of Mark (Sari) and Wendy Schacht; loving daughter-in-law of Marian and Jordan Himelfarb; dear sister-in-law of Steve (Anne) Himelfarb and Nancy (Glenn) Gimble and cherished friend of her many communities. Evan was the past president of the Barker Foundation. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 7 at 12 noon at Washington Hebrew Congregation, 3935 Macomb St., NW, Washington, DC. Interment Gardens of Remembrance Cemetery, Clarksburg, MD. The family will be in mourning at her late residence through Tuesday, September 11. Services at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Life with Cancer, c/o Inova Fairfax Hospital or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
