Deceased Name: Estelle Bleiman -- Retired teacher, 72
Estelle Bleiman, 72, of Wyndmoor, a third-grade teacher in Philadelphia for more than three decades, died of a myocardial infarction, a heart condition, Monday at Abington Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Bleiman received a bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Pennsylvania in 1952 and a master's in education from Temple University in 1956.
She taught at Kirkbride Elementary School in South Philadelphia from 1952 to 1956; Spruance School in North Philadelphia from 1956 to 1960; and McCloskey Elementary School in Mount Airy from 1965 to 1990.
From 1990 to 1999, Mrs. Bleiman served as financial secretary of the Sisterhood at Beth Tikvah-B'nai Jeshurun in Erdenheim.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Gerald; a son, Bruce; four grandchildren; and a sister.
Services and burial were yesterday.
