- Stanley Ginsburg, of Pikesville, MD, passed away on Wednesday, November 15th, 2023, at the age of 86. He is survived by his devoted wife, Eileen Ginsburg (nee Siegel); loving children, John (Jill) Ginsburg, Laurie Ginsburg (Steven) Simon, Rachael Ginsburg, and Ira (Zari) Ginsburg; adoring grandchildren, Gregory Ginsburg, Sara Ginsburg, Carlee Simon (James) Smith, Ryan Simon, Alana Ginsburg, Sydney Ginsburg, and Evan Ginsburg and Hannah Weiner. He was predeceased by his loving sister, Lois (Richard) Schapiro; and his beloved parents, Celia and John Ginsburg.
Stanley grew up in Chelsea Terrace and attended City High School. He was very fortunate to meet Eileen as a blind date at a house party. They were married on September 16, 1962. Stanley was the third generation owner of N. Ginsburg and Son, Inc., which is now known as Floors Etc. He enjoyed working with people and making the customers happy with what they purchased. He was a member of the Floor Covering Association, and organizer for his high school reunion. He had many hobbies and interests, golf, pitch, craps, watching sports with his children and grandchildren, and teaching his kids to play golf. The most important thing to him was his family.
Stanley will always be remembered for his smile, his warmth, always ready to help people that worked for him in need, and how hard he worked. He was a pillar in the Pikesville business community - people knew Stanley Ginsburg/Floors Etc. He had a long fulfilling life, even though he battled with MS for the last 21 years, he never complained and tried to not let it interfere with his life. He was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, uncle and great-uncle.
Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208, on Friday, November 17th, 2023, at 2:30 pm. Interment Beth El Memorial Park. Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be sent to Ricky Siegel Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Beth El Congregation, 8101 Park Heights Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21208, MS Society, P.O. Box 4527, New York, NY 10163, or Bridging Life Hospice, 200 Memorial Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157. The family will be in mourning at 3509 Old Post Drive, Pikesville, MD 21208, immediately following interment Friday, The family will accept visitors on Saturday beginning at 12 pm. Shiva continues on Sunday with services 9:30 am and 6 pm.
