Management Executive
Joseph J. (Bud) Kahn, 68, vice president of the CSN Management Corp. in Bethesda since 1983, died of cancer May 13 at the Washington Home Hospice. He lived in Chevy Chase.
Mr. Kahn was born in Washington. He graduated from Central High School and the University of Virginia. During World War II, he served in the Army Air Forces in Europe.
He began his career in real estate after the war and worked for the Aldon Construction Co. and the Legum and Gerber Corp. during the 1950s. He owned and operated his own construction firm during the 1960s and the 1970s.
Since 1983, Mr. Kahn had been a vice president with CSN Management, where he was in charge of designing and rebuilding apartment and office buildings and shopping centers.
He had been a member of Big Brothers and the Brotherhood of the Washington Hebrew Congregation. He was a past president of the Rollingwood Citizens Association in Chevy Chase.
Survivors include his wife, Florence Kaufman Kahn of Chevy Chase; two daughters, Cathryn K. Kwart of Chevy Chase and Patricia Kahn of Washington; one sister, Charlotte Fox of Chevy Chase and Palm Beach, Fla.; and one brother, B. Franklin Kahn of Bethesda.
