- Martin Liston (Lichtstern), born in Unter-Riedenberg, Germany and came to this country when he was 5 years old, with his parents Albin and Selma (deceased) and brother Herbert (deceased).
Martin served in the United States Air Force and was discharged as a Captain. He loved his family and respected the American flag and his country.
Martin is survived by his wife, Elaine; his children Steven Liston (Amy), Gary Liston, deceased (Susi), Sara Schrode, Jerry Grosse (deceased), Diane Liston and Ron Liston (Traci); his grandchildren Abby, Dylan, Cory, Betsi, Jason, Evan, Sam and Amanda; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Anybody who knew Marty knew he was the King of spades, poker and gin rummy were his game. He knew when to hold them, when to fold them, and when the dealing was done.
Martin will be entombed after a private service at Lakeview Cemetery Mausoleum on Monday, December 13, 2021 in Cleveland, Ohio, surrounded by family and loved ones.
