- Sandra (Sandi) Beverly Kaplan passed away peacefully at age 77 on September 2, 2018 in Gwinnett County, Georgia.
Sandi was born on May 22, 1941 in New York, New York to the late Emanual and Lillian Blumenfeld. She married her childhood sweetheart, David Kaplan, on September 23, 1960. David and Sandra raised three Daughters on Long Island, and upon retirement, moved to Georgia in 2000 to be close to family.
Sandi is survived by a loving and devoted family. Her husband was her dearest friend and life-long companion. Her daughters, Robin Westney, Pamela Cerneka, and Cari Johanson consider Sandi their closest friend. Her Sons-In-Law, Jeffrey Cerneka and Derek Johanson are indeed her children. Her cherished pride and joy were her grandchildren, Jake Cerneka, Carly Cerneka, Sydney Cerneka, Jack Johanson, and Ben Johanson. She filled their lives with laughter and love.
Sandi had the ability and determination to make every stranger a friend and every friend feel like family.
Visitation will be held at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel in Buford, Georgia on Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM with a service to follow at 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Atlanta Humane Society.
